FAQ

Does the game keep earning while it's closed?

Yes. Your office keeps working while the app is closed, at a reduced rate compared with active play, and a welcome-back summary shows what you earned when you return. The offline rate starts low and can be raised with the Offline Cap investor upgrade after you go public. Time away is capped: after roughly two days, extra hours don't add more. Offline earnings depend on the same things as live earnings, so employees without a manager, or an office short on server capacity, earn less. Progress is saved on your device only; there is no cloud save, so uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes your office.

How do leaderboard usernames work?

The leaderboard is optional; you only appear on it after you pick a username and join. Names are 3–16 characters using letters, digits, spaces, underscores and hyphens, in a single alphabet (Latin or Cyrillic, not mixed). Names are first come, first served and are checked against a word filter, so "that name isn't available" means someone has it or it was filtered. You can rename from the leaderboard screen at any time. Choosing Leave deletes your entry straight away; you can rejoin later, starting from your current valuation. Entries that haven't updated in 90 days are removed, which frees the name. Please don't use your real name.

How do I report a bug?

In the app, open Settings → Report a problem, which builds a report you can share or copy. Or open Settings → Diagnostics → Copy Diagnostics and paste the text into an email to stonecitygames67@gmail.com along with what happened. If the game won't start, the crash screen has its own Copy diagnostics button. Screenshots help. If a saved game looks wrong after an update, say which version you updated from if you remember.

I watched a rewarded ad and didn't get the reward.

Rewards are granted when the ad network confirms the video was completed, which usually takes a second or two. If it doesn't arrive, check your connection and try again later; ads sometimes fail to load in early access. If it keeps happening, send a bug report with the diagnostics text.

How do I turn off analytics, or delete my data?

Turn off Settings → Share anonymous progress data to stop telemetry. Leave the leaderboard from its screen to delete your entry. To have every server record for your device deleted, email us your install ID (from the diagnostics text). Details are in the privacy policy.

Is the game free? Are there purchases?

Startup Office is free and has no in-app purchases. It is funded by optional rewarded video ads that you choose to watch.
